Peanut Butter Cookies – revisited

I went back and looked at my previous version of peanut butter cookies, which, while very tasty – were missing one somewhat critical piece of information. What temperature to cook them at. Hmmm. How could I have missed that one? Cooking them for 12 minutes is all very good information to have, but only is effective at a certain temperature…

Peanut Butter Cookies
makes about 40+ cookies (if you roll roughly 3/4″ balls)
preheat oven 350F

1 stick unsalted butter (softened)
1 cup peanut butter (crunchy/smooth, whatever)
3/4 cup white sugar
1/2 cup light brown sugar
splash of milk (tbsp, roughly)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 lg egg
1 1/4 cup of all purpose flower
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt

Step One:
Cream butter and add peanut butter – mix thoroughly.

Step Two: Add sugars – the dough will get fluffy.

Step Three: Add all wet ingredients.

Step Four: Add all dry ingredients.

Roll into 3/4″ balls, roll those in a bit of white sugar. Press on parchment paper, and cook for about 15 minutes (til you see a little brown on the sides appear) pull, and let sit for about 5 minutes then put them on cooling trays.
